Eclipsed
A meld game of elemental suits and shifting Edicts. Draw, build melds, race to go out before your opponent.
Overview
Eclipsed is a card game built on a redesigned 52-card deck of four elemental suits — Solar, Arc, Void, and Stasis. Two suits align to Light; two to Dark.
Each round three Edict cards define the rules. One is drawn by fate. Each player contributes one from their hand — signalling their strategy, shaping the rules, and spending a card to do it.
First to 50 points wins.
How to Play
Turns are draw-and-discard. Declare melds when they score enough to be worth it. Race to go out — because when the round ends, every unmelded high card in your hand becomes deadwood.
The Suits
| Suit | Alignment | Family | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| ☀ Solar | Light | Amplify | Melds score more |
| ⚡ Arc | Light | Threshold | Sets conditions on timing and size |
| ◉ Void | Dark | Negate | Takes points away |
| ❄ Stasis | Dark | Preserve | Locks and carries things forward |
